Former Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice announces engagement to Australian pastor Mark Lassey

Stephanie Rice has taken to Instagram to share the romantic moment partner Mark Lassey popped the big question.

The swimming legend, 36, posted the news to Instagram with a series of joyous photos of the pair at Atlantis the Royal in Dubai.

The snaps were accompanied by the caption, “Here’s to fresh starts and second chances … Yes to a lifetime with you 💍”

The former Olympian was dressed for the occasion in a flowy floral number with strappy beige heels as she admired her shiny new rock.

Father of three, Mark, scrubbed up with a black blazer, white shirt and cream pants.

Stephanie’s fans congratulated the happy couple with a stream of heartfelt comments.

“Praise the Lord for His goodness! So overjoyed for you both! 🤍,” one wrote.

Another said: “Such wonderful news! Congratulations!!!! God Bless you both & your future together.”

The engagement comes just weeks after Stephanie announced the couple’s relationship on Instagram in July.

Stephanie and Mark have been dating for seven months after they met through a mutual friend.
