Sacha Baron-Cohen hits back at Rebel Wilson after she claimed he was a ‘massive a...hole’ in memoir spat

Sacha Baron-Cohen has fired back at Rebel Wilson after she claimed he was threatening to take legal action over her unreleased memoir. The Australian actress dedicated a chapter in the book Rebel Rising to detailing her difficult relationship with an unnamed co-star she has called a “massive a....hole”, but on Monday Wilson went public and named him as Baron-Cohen. “I will not be silenced by high priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The a****** I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen”, a post on her Instagram page read. Wilson starred as Baron-Cohen’s love interest in the 2016 flop The Brothers Grimsby. Also in the film was Baron-Cohen’s Australian wife Isla Fisher. A representative for the Borat actor told TMZ: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.” Wilson has previously said her experience with the then-unnamed co-star had led to her instituting a “no a....holes policy”. In 2015, Wilson told news.com.au that filming sex scenes with Baron-Cohen was “disgusting”. “I had a sex scene with Sacha Baron Cohen and it was just the most disgusting thing ever.” Wilson’s memoir is due out on April 2.
