Call for public help as Albany detectives continue probe into Ravensthorpe service station armed robbery

Albany detectives are pleading for information about an armed robbery at a service station in Ravensthorpe last month.

On Wednesday, Great Southern police posted a plea for public assistance as they continue to investigate the offence which took place on Wednesday, September 25.

New information has been revealed including that the alleged offender stole a large sum of money and had knowledge of the store and the location of the safe.

Police say that about 5.15am an unknown woman entered the rear of a service station and truck stop located on Morgans Street near Queens Street and threatened the staff with a metal object.

The offender stole a large sum of money before fleeing on foot.

Police believed the woman knew where the safe was located and managed to avoid being captured on the store’s CCTV cameras.

She is described as being about 165cm tall, of solid build, and was wearing black clothing, a black balaclava and gloves at the time of the robbery.
