RECAP: Get all the star-studded action at the TV Week Logie Awards in Sydney

He did it!

He bloody did it!

Our boy Laz has taken it home - and about time.

Even though he’s been on air forever, implausibly he’s never actually been nominated.

But this was his year, and he stood up to accept amidst trumpets, cheers - and LOTS of golden ticker tape.

“Forty years I have been in this business, and 25, maybe 30, times I have sat in the room and wondered how it might feel to stand up here,” he said.

Bonus points to Larry, who managed to squeeze in mention of tattooing his bum, vulvas and dry-humping in his raucously funny acceptance speech.

All hail TV’s Most Axed Man!

May he end his night with the mother of all “Larry Emdurs” - and if you don’t know what I mean by that, then you clearly weren’t watching right to the end!

This show is so good!

Up until now it’s kinda been overshadowed by other flashier Drama contenders.

About time it got the gong, I say.

It’s back for a third season, and if you haven’t seen it yet, rectify this IMMEDIATELY.

Side note: how nice they thanked frontline care workers and the RFDS.

These two - just the absolute best!

And not even a mistake in the background graphics can dampen my enthusiasm for their double-act comedy bants.

The nominees in BEST DRAMA program (this is the correct category people, keep up!) are:

This is her first individual award - and she looks genuinely shocked.

“I love journalism, all of us in this category do,” she says, before admitting they also all love chasing “a dodgy builder.”

And honestly: same.

What a night for the Working Dog crew - they’ve won ANOTHER award.

This time for Have You Been Paying Attention - it’s the show’s eighth win.

Conveniently, host Sam Pang, is RIGHT THERE to help accept.

True to form, Pang, Kavalee and Gleisner took the opportunity to sledge one another during their speeches.

We love to see it.

Darren Gilshenan and Helen Thomson, aka “that guy and her” from Colin From Accounts are up presenting this award.

It’s his second award for Boy Swallows Universe.

“This is quite crazy, isn’t it,” he says, beforeadding the last award he won was ‘Student of the Week’ in Grade 5.

He gives everyone a shout-out, “thank you for the most amazing experience of my life,” he says.

Gosh I love this little dude.
