Ten points each from Kieran Murphy and Joshua McCamish proved the difference last week when Spartans White held off Olympians, 51-50, in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association’s men’s second division.

In a high-standard clash, their combined output upstaged the efforts of Riley Gibbs in the opposition camp, who contributed a team-high 10 points.

Every other player for Olympians also hit the score board, but none managed double-digits.

In the women’s second division, Matilda Gouge and Millie James combined for 20 points in CBC’s win against Spartans, 40-23.

Of the three men’s division three games played on Monday night, two were decided by one-point margins.

Division one fixtures continue on Friday night when CBC take on Saints in the men’s clash at 6.15pm.

The corresponding women’s game is at 7.30pm.

Saints’ Chloe Zorzi has opened the season with a competition-best 61 points in three games, but Olympians lead the outright standings.
