22nd Kristofferson Cup draws competitors from all over
The Kristofferson Cup over the weekend saw warm and sunny weather and about 180 attendees come from as far as Exmouth, Queensland and even New Zealand, to compete in Friday’s 4BBB Stableford and Saturday and Sunday’s two-day Kristoffersson Cup.
Despite initial concerns for cooler conditions and the potential of rain experienced in last year’s competition, the weekend saw bright and hot weather with even a breeze on Sunday afternoon.
On Sunday, in the men’s bracket, Shane Boothey claimed victory with 77 points, followed by Larry Martin from Esperance with 76 points and Wayne Pember with 75 points.
In the women’s bracket, Leonie Pitassi was the winner with 78 points, with Sue Edwards coming in behind with 75 points and Kerry DeCampo and Vanessa Kelly with 72 points each.
Michael Lucas was the men’s gross winner with 69 points, while Lisa Morey was the women’s gross winner with 54 points.
Friday’s 4BBB Stableford competition ended with Maxine Rosman and Sonia Barnsby as the winners with 55 points, while Graham Happ and Peter McKittrick came in second with 51 points, and Lee Numbers and Tony Churchill third with 49 points.
