Manjimup Apex Club will use its annual Senior Citizens Christmas Lunch as a thank you to the region’s seniors.

Club president Tari Jeffers said seniors made up a big part of the town’s volunteers and they deserved to be recognised for it.

“Seniors do so much in this community, they are our past, they are a huge part of the volunteering community as well and it’s nice to give something back to them,” she said.

Miss Jeffers said even though it was called the Senior Citizens Christmas Lunch, the Manjimup Apex Club welcomed anyone, even if they did not consider themselves a “senior”.

“That’s fine, just come along, even if you’re 50,” she said.

The entertainment on the day includes music, free drinks, lunch followed by dessert and a special visit from Father Christmas.

The lunch will be held at the Manjimup Town Hall on November 24 from 11.00am onwards.

RSVP your name and dietary requirements at the Manjimup News-agency by November 20.
