Club awards celebrate hard work
The Manjimup Netball Association presentations after the grand final on September 20 celebrated the hard work of teams and individuals throughout the year.
Club person of the year was Donnette Edwards, who in addition to playing this year was also the junior coordinator.
Junior club person of the year was Hayley Kilrain who also received her B-grade team’s award.
At the presentation ceremony, Bridie Bowden was awarded the junior umpire of the year award and Ellie Sing received the junior umpire encouragement award.
In the A-grade grand final, Cougars defeated Magpies 60- 59 and the grand final fairest and best was Diana Muir.
In A2, Diamonds defeated 48-30 and the grand final fairest and best was Shannon Scaini.
In A3, Globetrotters defeated Phoenix 40-24.
The grand final fairest and best was Jessi Namnik.
The juniors had their presentation immediately after their grand finals on the same day at the Manjimup Indoor Sport Stadium.
B-grade premiers were Fever, after defeating Swifts 39-36.
The C-grade Premiers were Mystics, after a 48-33 defeat over Flames.
Breakers defeated Flames in the D-grade grand final with a final score of 32-30.
The B-grade MVP was Bella Trease, C-grade was Brielle Krispyn and D-grade was Jenna Matthews.
