Club gets spooky and kooky for play
Rehearsals are in full swing for the Manjimup Repertory Club’s first production of the year.
Tickets are now available for the Addams Family Musical, which will run over two weekends from April 27.
Directors Alison and Toby Hopkins are working with a cast of experienced and new actors, who are at the moment learning the singing, dancing and spoken lines.
“There are challenges to putting together a new and unknown musical production but both Toby and I agree we have a talented team of youth and adults to work with,” Mrs Hopkins said.
“Many people will remember the dark and kooky Addams Family television series and movies. “Well, Wednesday Addams has grown up and fallen in love with a boy from a normal family.
“Chaos ensues when the families meet and embark on a journey of discovery on both sides.”
Mrs Hopkins said the lighthearted, well-paced script would provide plenty of laughs for the audience.
Evening shows will be held on April 27, 28, May 4 and 5 and matinees on April 29 and May 6.
Tickets are available online at trybooking.com/uvhu or in person at the Manjimup Public Library.
