Naval officer Gavin Reeves spoke at the service.
He said the day was about holding a united and solemn remembrance for all those who had served for the country.
“We should never let time dim their immortal memory,” he said.

Manjimup shire president Paul Omodei said in 1914 the number of enlisted men and women was 416,000 volunteers, 61,000 of which lost their lives.
“That number is the equivalent of the Optus Oval in Perth full of people,” he said.
The service ended with a gathering at the RSL hall for anyone who wanted to attend.
Greenbushes Primary School also held a Remembrance Day service on November 8 at Greenbushes war memorial.
