Last round of Manjimup Amateur Basketball Association before finals series

Teams gave it everything they had in their matches in the last round of the Manjimup Amateur Basketball Association before the finals series starts.

In the men’s A-grade the Wolfpack sealed an easy win over the Hawks A team after they forfeited the match. Meanwhile, the Barracudas stomped the Cobras in a one-sided 57-28 clash.

The women’s A-grade competition had similarly big scores as the Aces defeated the Vipers by 21 point, 39-18.

In the other women’s A-grade match the Comets comfortably beat the Pink Ladies by 11 points to finish off their regular season strong, 50-39.

In the men’s A reserve bracket the Dingos piled on to their win from last week after defeating the Giants 48-34. The Hawks B squad crushed the Raiders after nearly doubling their score, 53-26.

In the women’s A-reserve competition the Slam Dunks managed to keep the Saints at arm’s length to see out the win, 32-26.

In the other women’s matches the Senators Maroon/Yellow defeated the Magpies Orange team after the latter failed to field a team.

Elsewhere, the Mystics beat the Diamonds by a margin of 32 to 20.

In the men’s B-grade the Imperials and the Spoonbills played out the highest scoring round across the Manjimup basketball competition with the former coming away winners, 73-64.

Meanwhile, the Yabbies and the Warriors played out a very close tie which ended 45-40 in favour of the Warriors.

The first and second semifinals matches will take place tonight (Wednesday, March 9) at the Manjimup Indoor Sports Pavilion.
