Lower South West Football League round two has explosive matches in store

With all Lower South West Football League matches observing the Easter long weekend, it gave clubs the chance to rest and gear up for an explosive round two. With a thrilling round one already been and gone, all eyes are looking to the second round of matches which include a Manjimup derby and the first appearance in the 2022 season for one club. The league matches for the round are bouncing down at 4.30pm on Saturday and will feature matches between the Manjimup Tigers and Deanmill Football Club. The Tigers will be looking to save face and get a result after a thrashing at the hand of Bridgetown in their match last week. With most of the Tigers players returning from their isolation due to COVID-19, the match against the Hawks at Deanmill will be a must-watch match up. The other match on Saturday will be battled out between Kojonup and Boyup Brook in Kojonup and will be the Cougar’s first match for the 2022 season. The Roos will be in high spirits as they travel to Kojonup after holding out against the Imperials last round in a thrilling win at home. The last match for the league division will take place on Sunday afternoon between the Southerners and Imperials in Pemberton. Neither side came away with a win last week and will be looking to put some points on the board to avoid being left behind by the league’s stronger teams. The Bulldogs have a bye this week and will not return to the action until May 1 when they take on Deanmill at home.
