About 400 people attended the Talison Lithium open day on Saturday.

There were four marquees set up, with two on-site and two in Greenbushes to showcase various aspects of the mine’s activities.

Throughout the day, staff geologists, action drill and blast staff and SG Mining and Orica proved popular with visitors.

In Greenbushes, the Community Resource Centre was a hive of activity with a marquee set up with a mine display and representatives from the HR departments of Talison and some of its contractors.

Greenbushes Primary School set up an art display and the School P & C made doughnuts and cakes for the day.

There was also a marquee at the newly-opened chemical grade processing plant 2 and at Schwenke’s Dam.
