Rylington to have a field day
Rylington Park will hold its annual field day this Friday, the first since the Shire of Boyup Brook took over management of the park.
Some of the events scheduled include viewings of the crop trials occurring at Rylington Park, talks from speakers about confinement feeding and mulesing as well as an evening bonfire and barbecue.
Rylington Park manager Erlanda Deas nominated the afternoon speech about containment feeding as the issue she was most excited about.
Additionally there will be a question and answer session featuring O’Connor MHR Rick Wilson, State Opposition spokesman for Agriculture and Regional Development Dr Steve Thomas and Warren-Blackwood MLA Terry Redman.
Mr Redman said it is stimulating to attend the Rylington Park Field Day and talk with a range of people involved in farming enterprises.
“The Rylington Park Field day has been an annual fixture for decades and is well regarded,” he said.
“It is important for people who are involved in the same industry to come together to share information, if we as a region are going to forge a strong and sustainable way forward, we need to support each other, even when competing on a local level.”
No RSVP is required and the field day starts at 9am.
