Narrogin and neighbouring community members enjoyed the biggest NGN Art Group Annual Xmas Market to date, with more than 40 stalls in the Old Courthouse Museum grounds and surrounding carpark area on Saturday.

Stallholders travelled from as far as Albany to showcase their homemade products and art including plants, furniture, pottery, jewellery and cakes at the Narrogin Art Group’s market.

Santa Claus made an appearance, giving out treats and taking festive photos with families.

Narrogin Arts Group member Donna Hardie said the event was the biggest yet.

“We were extremely happy with the numbers — it was a really busy morning,” she said. “Attendees said it was a great festival vibe, awesome atmosphere and it created a real buzz in the town.”

Ms Hardie and group members Michelle Birrel and Lynne Dorset and their husbands set up the event at 5am to be ready for the crowds, while about 30 club volunteers managed the stalls.

“This market wouldn’t go ahead without all our hard-working members,” she said.
