The royal family has shared a candid photo of Prince George as they celebrated his eleventh birthday on Monday.

Posting a rare glimpse of the aging royal to X, William and Kate’s eldest child could be seen in a black suit and a white collared shirt as he smiled warmly at the camera.

The prince’s beaming smile and windswept hair were prominent features, as a string bracelet on his left wrist reflected his laid back demeanour.

As has become a trend with royal birthday celebrations, the Princess of Wales took credit for the image.

Met with countless well-wishers on the platform, fans of the royal observed his maturing face and mannerisms.

“A handsome young man! He takes after his dad, so alike,” one follower said.

“HB to a dashing young Prince! And congrats to his mother for another fab photo,” another commented.

Within 30 mins of being shared, the post had received more than 10k likes and 130k comments on the platform.

Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, were earlier this year honoured with heartwarming birthday posts courtesy of their mother in May and April respectively.
