Nannup’s highly anticipated music festival returns with huge line-up of local and international talent

After a break in 2022, Nannup’s highly anticipated and prestigious music festival returns in just two weeks’ time with an incredible line-up of local, national and international acts.

The Nannup Music Festival — winner of the State Cultural Treasures 2022 Community Impact - Organisation award — features a jam-packed weekend of music, art and creativity from March 3 until March 6.

This year’s festival comes after a scaled-back version of the event was hosted by the Nannup Hotel in 2022 — Nanno Music Festival — due to the shock announcement of the cancellation of the NMF only a month out amid safety fears caused by rising COVID-19 cases in the South West.

Presented by the Nannup Music Club, the festival weekend will be bigger than ever, opened by West Australian Kiera Jas on Friday night followed by a welcome to country by Mitchella ‘Waljin’ Hutchins at the Amphitheatre.

Stage locations are spread across the town centre, including Tigerville, The Secret Garden, Goorbillyup, Town Hall, The Arboretum and the Amphitheatre, and free venues including The Playground, Nannup Hotel, Nannup Brewing Co and the Street Stage.

Emily Lubitz, Darren Hanlon, Little Georgia and Harry James Angus are returning favourites, while remote acts such as Dulnga, Wildfire Manwuurk and The Krui3ers will make an appearance.

New to NMF are Bumpy, Jeff Lang, Liz Stringer, Kee’ahn, Nathan Cavaleri, Van Walker & The Ferriters and ThornBird, while emerging artists Mia June and Siena Rebelo will take the stage across the weekend.

The Nannup Emerging Artist award will also be announced over the weekend with nine talented WA entrants in the mix at the Ampitheatre on Sunday at 6:05pm after performances at the Playground from 3pm.

The family-friendly event also has an abundance of creative things to do, including Aroma Arts, Art Jam WA, workshops with Cat & Clint, The Wayward Earls and Murray Cook’s The Soul Movers, kids shows and activities, sustainability talks, poetry, meditation, yoga and more.
