Shire of Manjimup introduces new container exchange points for 10c containers to help combat landfill

The Shire of Manjimup is introducing a new community recycling initiative to allow members of the public to recycle more 10c containers otherwise destined for landfill. Manjimup, Northcliffe, Pemberton and Walpole will soon be home to container exchange points dedicated to empty 10c containers. Located near prominent public bin sites, the exchange point baskets are dedicated to 10c containers and are designed to allow any member of the public to collect these to exchange at their local Containers for Change depot. There are several containers for change locations across the Shire of Manjimup including Hastie Waste Refund Point in Manjimup and in Bridgetown, and MR Refund Pemberton. The Shire of Manjimup will join 22 other shires across Western Australia which currently participate in the Containers for Change program.
