A new sport has reached Manjimup that is not only suitable for all ages but is a great introduction into an active lifestyle.

Walking hockey — established by the Warren Women’s Hockey Association — is in its second week and is already bringing great joy and endless laughter to the participants.

Designed to aid an active lifestyle, regardless of age, health and ability, it also serves as a way for former players to get back into hockey.

The format includes five to six people per side, a big, bright ball and a smaller pitch.

Walking hockey is played every Monday at 5:30pm and all are welcome.

Sticks can be provided.
