47th JB Ipsen Memorial golf tournament sees Don Ipsen and Robyn Kristofferson named as overall winners

The Manjimup Country Club held the 47th JB Ipsen Memorial Golf Tournament on the weekend with an attendance of players from across the State. The event started with a 4BBB Stableford competition on Friday, sponsored by Danny Chadwick representing Elders Insurance Manjimup. Noel Sewell and Pat Stubberfield won Friday’s event with 46 points. Second place, on countback, went to Ross Fouracres and Spencer Roberts. Third, also on countback, were Colin and Lachlan Muir, and fourth place went to Steven and Michael Podziuka on countback too,. Fifth place went to Graeme Leach and Tony Churchill with 45 points. The main event was held on Saturday and Sunday, sponsored by Glenn Paterson from Cape-to-Cape Insurance Services in Busselton. The ladies played a Stableford competition with Robyn Kristoffersson winning on 72 points from Kerry DeCampo who was second with 71. Third was Gwyn Wicks-Buck from Royal Fremantle with 68 and fourth on countback was Pla Ewan from Wanneroo. The gross winner was Karen Murray from Katanning with 47 points. The men played a stroke competition with Don Ipsen having the best net score of 140, second was Brian O’Shea from Pemberton with 143. Countback separated David Love from WA Golf Club in third, Glen Samsa from Busselton in fourth and Lyndon Muir in fifth place. Blair Dalziel won the gross after a play off from Klaus Fast from Wanneroo who both had 153. Clinton Adams had a hole-in-one on number 15 on Saturday, and was awarded a $200 cash prize. Don Ipsen and Robyn Kristoffersson were named the overall winners of the tournament.
