Paspaley Pearls gifts once-in-a-lifetime pearl journey to Telethon’s live auction
Raiding your mum’s jewellery boxes to play dress-up is a rite-of-passage for little girls but Telethon star Florence Shanks has taken it one step further.
The four-year-old was given free rein at esteemed Australian jeweller Paspaley Pearls’ Crown Perth store ahead of the charity weekend and was beaming with joy as she adorned herself in timeless pearls.
The Paspaley family have generously donated a five-night, six-day adventure for two people to their iconic pearl farms in the Kimberley and their operations in Darwin as part of the highly anticipated Telethon Ball Live Auction on Saturday, October 19.
This exclusive experience offers a behind-the-scenes look at the world of pearl farming.
The adventure will begin in Broome — renowned as the “pearling capital of the world” — where the winning bidder will embark on a thrilling seaplane journey with water take-off and landing.

During the trip, guests will witness the pearl harvesting process first hand, including the exciting “moment of reveal” when the oyster is opened.
They will have a two-night stay in the rustic Kimberley inspired accommodation at Kuri Bay — Australia’s first cultured pearl farm.
To see how the harvest is then sorted and graded, guests will then continue their journey to Darwin to learn about the secrets of creating exquisite Paspaley jewellery.
A farewell dinner will then be hosted by the Paspaley family.
The prize includes a $10,000 Paspaley gift voucher, accommodation, all flights and transfers, meals, and champagne.
The adventure will coincide with harvest season, which takes place between July and September each year.
Born with a complex congenital heart condition, Florence has undergone three major surgeries, including two open-heart surgeries as a newborn.
Florence is one of four little stars set to grace WA screens across the 26-hour Telethon broadcast from RAC Arena on October 19-20.
Paspaley and Qantas have also donated a premium five-night stay at the Wall Street Hotel in New York with US$5000 spending money.
