Collingwood has been given the highest rating amongst all teams by Tru Blu Games in the newest Australian Rules video game - AFL Evolution 2.

With no football being played due to the coronavirus, fans are turning to various other formats to get their footy fix, with the new video game released this week one of them.

The Magpies were given a rating of 85 out of 100, just ahead of Melbourne and West Coast (84), while reigning premiers Richmond were given an 83.

In no surprise, Gold Coast were the lowest ranked team with a 78, while Fremantle are second last with 80.

Dual Norm Smith medallist Dusty Martin was given the honour of the highest ranked player with 97, closely followed by Patrick Dangerfield, Lance Franklin and Nat Fyfe (96).

West Australian and cover star Patrick Cripps was given a 95, as was West Coast star defender Jeremy McGovern.

McGovern leads West Coast teammate Shannon Hurn (92) in the ratings, with captain Luke Shuey and Josh Kennedy (91) not too far behind.

The developers must rate defenders, with Tom Barrass given a rating of 90.

Recruit Tim Kelly drew an 88 rating, as did Andrew Gaff.
