Commonwealth Games: What to watch for on day three of action from Birmingham

DON’T MISS: Australia’s women’s rugby 7s side are chasing gold medal glory when they take on Fiji in the final from 3.30am. The men’s side will hunt for a place in the gold medal match when they face South Africa in the semifinal.

5pm | Track Cycling

Matt Glaetzer and Matthew Richardson will be back in action when they tackle the men’s sprint qualifiers to open a monster day three.

5.30pm | Swimming

Another massive night in the pool will be headlined by Australian superstar Kyle Chalmers and the Aussie men’s 100m freestyle swimmers, including West Australian Zan Incerti. Bowen Gough will compete in the 200m butterfly, while Abbey Harkin, Taylor McKeown and Jenna Strauch are in the 200m breaststroke heats.

6pm | Hockey

The Kookaburras run on to the field for the first time at Birmingham to take on Scotland in what they hope will be a good start to their campaign. Fresh off a massive win, the Hockeyroos will battle South Africa from midnight.

6pm | Para-Triathlon

Our Aussie stars, Sam Harding, Jono Goerlach, Gerrard Gosens and Erica Burleigh will race alongside their guides for glory.

9.30pm | Beach Volleyball

Tokyo 2020 women’s silver medallists Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar return to the global stage when they take on Sri Lanka.

Jesse Wagstaff and Greg Hire return to the court for Australia when they take on Sri Lanka and India tonight, before the men’s and women’s wheelchair sides get their time to shine.
