Australia are looking to press home their advantage on day three against India at the Gabba! Follow the latest news and updates here.

Farewell!

That does it for day three but we’ll be back tomorrow as Australia race the rain to get 16 more wickets.

Until then, goodnight!

Stumps

Play has been called for the day.

The action never really got rollong after the first hour or so but the Aussies were able to do a good amount of damage.

The Indian’s will be reeling at 4-51 and have a lot of work to do even with the rain around to help them out.

Light wins

We are off again after an over from Travis Head and there’s little chance conditions improve.

Lyon in

There’s a few concerns about light and Lyon is into the attack.

Australia could have had a run out but Cummins lost his feet on the wet grass.

IND 4-50

Here we go!

There is up to an hour and 20 minutes of play left in the day but light will be an issue even if the rain stays away.

Five minutes

We should have play underway in five minutes!

The rope is being run around the outfield.

Australia anticipate play

The Aussies are warming up on the outfield in a bid to convince the umpires to get play underway as they stand in the middle discussing.

Signs of life

Ground staff are working on drying the ground as the rain stops so covers are moving but don’t hold your breath.

There will be an inspection in 15 minutes though.

Puddles

A few puddles have formed around the covers and the situation does not look like improving much.
