That’s a wrap!

Australia have a lot of work to do if they are to prove they are up to scratch against India.

Their top-order is worse than rusty and the whole team showed their age in Perth.

It’s odd to say after one match but they need to refresh their mind set ahead of Adelaide.

And that’s when we will be back.

See you December 6!

Hits and Misses

India wrapped up a comprehensive first Test victory on day four in Perth, but at least the hosts showed a couple of signs of life heading into Adelaide.

Here are our day four hits and misses.

Pat Cummins responds to criticism

Pat Cummins says he was happy with his team’s attitude across the Test despite Australia copping criticism.

“I was really happy with how everyone went about it,” he said on ABC radio.

“The bowlers charged in for three days so I have no issues with that.”

The skipper also backed Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja to refind their form.

“We’ve all gone through little patches when things don’t go our way,” he said.

“Those two guys are putting in the hours out the back in the nets, and I’m sure they’ll bounce back.

“I’m not a selector, but I’d be very surprised if we made any changes. It’s a sample size of one.

“It’s such a great bunch. We get on really well and we challenge each other when we need to.”

Man of the Match

The Indian skipper Jasprit Bumrah is named man of the match for his eight wickets.

“We were put under pressure in the first innings but I’m really proud of how the team responded,” he said.

“This wicket was a little bit less spicy than the one we played on here (in 2018) but we were really well prepared.

“Jaiswal, out of all his innings, I think (the one in Perth) is his best one because he’s attacking but he was able to reign himself in as well.”

Biggest home defeats

This is Australia’s seventh-biggest home loss.

All out

Rana grabs the last wicket with a clever slower ball that cuts and crashes into Carey’s off stump.

That ends a fine Test for India who can be very proud of an incredible victory.

Concussion delay

Hazlewood has failed to avoid the bouncer and taken one in the helmet.

He got stuck on the crease and is now being assessed.

Dragging

Carey is doing his best to get some batting practise in after tea.

He is farming the strike and keeping India at bay for now.

It would be nice if he got the half century.
