Fremantle superstar and dual Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe is known for off-season backpacking and living it up ahead of preseason, and 2023 is no different.

After another injury-riddled season with the Dockers, Fyfe has taken the chance to cut loose with vigour, checking in via social media from India.

In a sequence of vibrant photos posted on Instagram, the 32-year-old has given an insight into his latest trip.

Many of the photos feature a trusty moped weighed down by the star’s ever-present surfboard, including on the edge of a picturesque cliff overlooking peaceful palm trees and the ocean.

The obligatory surfing photo is in the mix, but Fyfe showed his creative flair with the picture taken over the back of a cow looking out at the water.

He didn’t miss the sights as a tourist, stopping in at a historical temple site.

Fyfe even showed off a homely roadside shack with a vibrant green forest backdrop.

The Dockers midfielder’s guns were out as he visited a market in a rain shower before he showed himself front and centre at a festival.

He even hit the dance floor in a video.

Fitness was also in the mix as he posted a shot with a bike and sampling the local delicacies.

His teammates were quick to jump on the post.

“Didn’t tell me you were a smooth operator,” running defender Jordan Clark wrote.

Pacey forward Michael Frederick suggested Michael Walters needed to get his dancing shoes out and show Fyfe some moves.

“@son_son_10 teach him a few of your moves,” he wrote.

Josh Treacy asked if he was getting any work in, referring to the Fyfe family trucking business.

“Any Kenworths out that way?”

Fyfe checked in from Ahmedabad.

India is also in the midst of hosting one of cricket’s showpiece events, the ODI Cricket World Cup.
