Reid will make his long-awaited debut, having been named in the forward pocket, and is set to back up Matt Flynn in the ruck.
Meanwhile, Ryan has not been named after picking up a hamstring niggle early in the Eagles’ pre-season win over North Melbourne.
The high-flier played out the game down in Bunbury and trained well on Thursday but has not been named in a new-look forward line that features Reid.
All-Australian Jake Waterman has also been named at centre-half-forward despite missing the session with calf tightness.
Midfielder Elijah Hewett has also been named on the bench in what would be his first game in more than 600 days if he gets the nod in the final squad, having missed all of last season with a serious foot injury. The extended squad will be trimmed by three on Friday.
Drafted out of Gippsland Power with pick No.30 in 2023, Reid is a 203cm utility who was sidelined early last year with a partially torn ACL.

The teenager returned mid-season, kicking 17 goals in 15 games in a strong end to the season.
“Oscar Allen broke the news, we were out on the ground and all the boys got around me, it was very cool,” Reid said.
“My main focus points this pre-season has been putting on some size and getting fitter,” Reid said.
“Last year I was a pretty skinny kid and wasn’t really up to the standard I wanted to be at, but this year I really focused on those points and I think I’ve reached those goals.”
Reid is the only debutant for the Eagles, but key recruits Liam Baker, Jack Graham and Matt Owies have all been named for their first game at West Coast.
As confirmed by coach Andrew McQualter, draftee Bo Allan will miss after being ill over the weekend.
Forward-turned-defender Ryan Maric is a chance to play down back for the first time after being named on the bench alongside Hewett, Tyler Brockman, Noah Long, Jack Petruccelle, Clay Hall, Bailey Williams and Tyrell Dewar.

Last year’s mid-season draftee Jack Hutchinson has been named in the engine room where he has spent some time this pre-season as well as on the wing, having been recruited as a forward.
Flynn has been named in the ruck to take on former Suns captain Jarrod Witts, with Williams set to miss out.
Gold Coast have named recruits John Noble and Dan Rioli across half-back, while new captain Noah Anderson will partner star Matt Rowell in the midfield.
