Police are calling for information about a suspicious fire at Pemberton’s disused timber mill.

The fire broke out about 9.30pm on Thursday.

Pemberton police, with help from Bunbury detectives, are calling for information from the community.

Pemberton police officer-in-charge Sgt Gavin Barke said a conveyor belt was damaged in the fire. “We’re still conducting inquiries but at this stage the cause of the fire is not known,” he said.

“No one was hurt during the fire.”

When police attended the fire firefighters had already extinguished the blaze.

People are being asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
